3 killed as truck plunges into ditch

Three people including a husband and wife have killed as a truck plunged into a ditch at Ullapara in Sirajganj.

Five people were injured in the accident that took place in Nalka area of Dhaka-Rajshahi highway on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were Ali Akbar, 28, son of Abu Sayed at Nawabganj in Dinajpur, his wife Nurjahan Khatun, 24, and Sohel Rana, 22, son of Nur Islam at Ruposipara in Joypurhat.

Officer-in-Charge of Hatikumrul Highway Thana Khairul Islam confirmed the matter.
