3 killed in truck-pickup collision

Staff Correspondent, Mymensingh: A road accident between a truck and a pickup van took place on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Meherabari in Bhaluka upazila early Monday, leaving three people dead.

The deceased were identified as pickup driver Tayes Uddin, 40, driver’s helper Babul and fish trader Abu Taher, 55.

Bhaluka Bhoradoba Highway Police Outpost In-Charge Abdus Salam said the accident took place around 5:00 am when a truck hit a Dhaka-bound pick-up van from behind, leaving three people of the pick-up van dead on the spot.
