4 get life term imprisonment for killing in Mymensingh

Staff Correspondent: A Mymensingh court has sentenced four people to life term imprisonment in the case filed over the killing of a man named Omar Faruk in 2007.

Muhammad Nurul Amin Biplap, Judge of Mymensingh Additional Sessions Judge's Court-2 passed the order on Wednesday noon.

The convicts are- Shahjamal Noyon, 62, his son Rezaul Karim, 34, Azahar, 57, son of late Mia Hossain, Sultan, 52, son of Ruhul Boxer. Of them, Shahjamal Noyon, 62, his son Rezaul Karim are on the run.

According to the case statement, on May 30, 2007, following previous enmity in Bashati village of Chandhara union under Phulpur upazila in the district the accused attacked the victim Omar Faruk with sticks, leaving him injured. He was taken to Mymensingh Medical. Later, he wasshifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died under treatment.
