4 killed in Tangail road crash

Four people were killed and at least seven others injured as a Leguna (human hauler) hit a Pickup van in Sohagpur area of Mirzapur upazila in Tangail on Saturday.

The deceased were known as – Jahanur, 18, wife of Sultan Mia, Topon Chandra Das, 25, son of Amalla Chandra Das, Rashida, 20, daughter of Chatku Sheikh and Marzina Begum, 27, wife of Alam Mia.

Gorai Highway police station Sub-inspector Nazmul Islam said, a covered-van hit the Leguna in the area this morning, leaving two passengers of the Leguna dead on the spot and injured seven others.

The injured were sent to Kumudini Hospital in Mirzapur.
