4 to die for killing priest in Panchagarh

A tribunal in Rajshahi awarded death sentence to four members of banned militant group Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in a case filed for killing a Hindu priest in Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh in 2016.
The death row convicts are – Jahangir alias Rajib Gandhi, Rajibul Islam, Alamgir Hossain and Ramzan Ali.
Rajshahi Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Anup Kumar delivered the verdict in the sensational case at 11:30am on Sunday.
Among the convicts, Rajibul is on the run.
The court also acquitted three accused of the case.
Jogeshwar Roy, 50, a Hindu priest, was hacked to death and Gopal Chandra Roy, 35, a devotee, was shot in an attack by miscreants in Debiganj upazila on February 21, 2016.
