44 new coronavirus or COVID-19 patients have been detected in Mymensingh division, taking the total number of infected patients to 594.
Mymensingh Medical College Principal Prof. Chitto Ranjan Debnath confirmed this to risingbd on Sunday.
Sample tests of 450 people were carried out at the PCR lab of Mymensingh Medical College and sample tests of 97 people were carried out at the PCR lab of Jamalpur Hospital. Of which, 44 people tested positive for coronavirus in the division, he said.
Among the patients, 295 in Mymensingh, 126 in Jamalpur, 54 in Sherpur and 118 in Netrokona.
A total of 221 individuals have recovered from the disease so far.
