5 bank officials among 11 infected with corona in Munshiganj

11 new coronavirus patients including five bank officials have been detected in Munshiganj, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 365.

Dr Abul Kalam Azad, civil surgeon of the district, came up with the information on Saturday (May 16).

Of those newly infected, five are the officials of Sonali Bank's Gazaria branch located in Gazaria upazila, three are from Munshiganj Sadar upazila, two from Sirajdikhan upazila and one from Tongibari upazila, the civil surgeon said.

A total of 13 people died of coronavirus and 52 people have so far recovered from the virus in the district.
