5 people die from Covid-19 in Khulna

Five people, including two businessmen, died on Monday night in Khulna after being infected with the novel coronavirus.

Khulna Corona Hospital’s focal person Dr. Sheikh Farid Uddin Ahmed said Khulna Medical College Hospital radiology department’s technologist Babar Ali was admitted to the hospital on June 19 after being infected with corona. He died around 8.45 pm on Monday while undergoing treatment.

He said Samar Das, 67, of Dolkhola area of the city was admitted to Corona Hospital on June 23. He died around 8.45 pm.

Anwara Begum (65) of Jugmipasha area of Fultala upazila was admitted to Corona Hospital on June 28. She died at around 7:15 pm.

On the other hand, Anisur Rahman, owner of Asad Store on Babu Khan Road adjacent to Azam Khan Commerce College in the city, was admitted to Corona Hospital on June 23. His friend Syed Aminul Islam Parvez confirmed that he died on the way to Dhaka on Monday afternoon.
Abdul Halim, owner of Halim Book Binding, died at his residence at night. His relatives confirmed that he was corona positive.
