5-year old child found brutally murdered

A five-year-old child has been ‘brutally murdered’ shortly after he went missing on Sunday night.

The child was identified as Tuhin, son of Abdul Bachhir at Kajaura village under Rajanagar union at Derai upazila in Sunamganj district.

Police recovered the body hanging from a tree near a mosque of the village on Monday morning.

After killing the child, miscreants entered two big-size knives into his belly and cut his two ears and penis.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Derai Thana AK Nazrul Islam said being informed police recovered the dead body and sent it to Sunamganj sadar hospital for autopsy.

The child’s father is taking a preparation to file a case, and police has begun a drive to detain the killers, he added.
