5.7 degrees Celsius temperature recorded in Panchagarh

The lowest temperature was recorded at 5.7 degrees Celsius in Panchagarh on Thursday morning.

“Temperature was recorded 6.2 degrees Celsius but it reduced to 5.7 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning,” Rahidul Islam, an official of Tetulia Meteorological office, said.

It is expected that the temperature may fall down more towards the end of this month, he said.

The chilly weather has disrupted normal life in Tetulia.

Although the local administration has distributed 28,000 pieces of blankets, people affected by cold said that the allotment is insufficient and residents of many areas are yet to receive warm clothes.

Meanwhile, the number of patients with cold-related diseases has increased here. Panchagarh Modern Hospital has reported a surge in outdoor patients.
