64 more infected with corona in Gazipur

64 more people have tested coronavirus positive in Gazipur, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 560.

Dr Md Khairuzzaman, civil surgeon of Gazipur, came up with the information on Sunday (May 17).

Samples of 5,864 people were tested in Gazipur out of them a total of 560 people tested positive for coronavirus in the district, he said.

Of those infected originally, 292 are in Gazipur Sadar upazila, 55 in Kaliakoir, 105 in Kaliganj, 78 in Kapasia and 30 in Sreepur, the civil surgeon mentioned.
