809 women, children infected with Covid-19 in Khulna

A total of 2,364 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus or Covid-19 so far in Khulna. As many as 809 women and children were among those infected.

This was confirmed by the civil surgeon office in Khulna on Sunday (July 5).

Infection rate of women and children is 34 percent in Khulna out of those 29 percent is women, 66 percent men and 5 percent children. Of those infected originally, 684 were women, 1,555 men and 125 children. A total of 30 patients have died while 448 recovered so far, according to the Khulna civil surgeon office.

Khulna Civil Surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed said, “No children died of coronavirus so far in the district although 125 children were diagnosed with the deadly virus.”
