81 new corona patients detected in Mymensingh division

A total of 81 people have been found to be infected newly with coronavirus or COVID-19 in Mymensingh division, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the division to 1,146.

Report of 81 people came back positive following sample tests of 376 people at the PCR lab of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Chitto Ranjan Devnath, principal of the hospital, confirmed the matter.

Of those originally infected, 434 people have recovered from the virus and returned to their respective homes and 13 people died so far.

Chitto Ranjan Devnath said 1,146 people infected with coronavirus in Mymensingh division, of which 564 are in Mymensingh district, 244 in Jamalpur district, 254 in Netrokona district and 84 in Sherpur district.
