84 more detected with coronavirus positive in N’ganj

Eighty-four more people on Tuesday tested coronavirus positive in Narayanganj, the second hotspot of the infectious disease in the country, raising the total number of Covid-19 infected patients in the district to 782.

Dr Zahidul Islam, coordinator of Narayanganj civil surgeon office, confirmed this.

A total of 42 people died after contracting coronavirus in the district so far, he said.

Mentionable, samples for coronavirus testing are being collected in two booths in Narayanganj town. People are gathering there to submit samples every day. Though samples of 40 are collected every day in the two booths, hundreds of people throng there.
