87 persons fined for violating govt instructions

About 87 persons have been fined for breaching the government instructions to contain coronavirus in Brahmanbaria district.

Mobile courts fined them in different drives from Friday morning to night at different places of nine upazilas.

Deputy Commissioner Hayat-ud-Daula Khan said “We are asking people to obey the government instructions and stay at their homes. But they violated the government instructions and some people opened shops”.

The mobile courts fined the persons Tk 64,200.

Bangladesh reported its sixth coronavirus death. On Friday five more people have been diagnosed with coronavirus, taking the number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 61.
