Allama Shafi taken to Dhaka

Ameer of Hefajat-e-Islam Allama Shah Ahmed Shafi has been taken to Dhaka for health check-ups.

Shafi, also the director general of Al-Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Ulum Moinul Islam (popularly known as Hathazari Madrasa), was taken to a city hospital by an air ambulance on Tuesday (April 14).

Moulana Anas Madani, spokesperson of Hefajat-e-Islam, confirmed the matter to risingbd.

The 103-year-old man was admitted to a private hospital in Chattogram due to his illnesses regarding old-age complications on Saturday (April 11) evening. Later, he came round.

Moulana Anas Madani said he has been taken to Dhaka for some medical check-ups upon the advice of doctors.
