Ambulance driver among 3 killed in Rangpur road crash

Three people including driver of an ambulance were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Bachrabanda area in Taraganj upazila of Rangpur on Wednesday morning.

Among the deceased, the ambulance driver was identified as Rubel.

A night coach of Dipjol Paribahan heading towards Sayedpur from Dhaka hit an ambulance coming from opposite direction around 7:30am, leaving three people including driver of the ambulance dead on the spot and three others injured, said Golam Kibria, officer-in-charge (OC) of Taraganj Highway Police.

The night coach was seized from the spot but its driver and helper managed to flee, the OC added.
