Anisha’s death: Aunt arrested

Anisha, two and half year-old-child, was killed by her aunt in West Sarabvata area of Rangunia upazila in Chattogram on December 16 in 2019.  

After 15 days on 31st December, police recovered the body from a septic tank, and her aunt was arrested in this connection.

Locals and police said that the deceased’s mother Rojina Akter went to his father’s house with her a son and a daughter. Anisha was her youngest daughter. After three days on 16th December, her daughter Anisha went missing mysteriously. Following the incident, a general diary was filed with Rangunia police station on 17th December. Some days later on 31st December, house members saw the body in a septic tank. Being informed, police recovered the body and arrested her aunt named Shanta Akter.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Rangunia Police Station Mahbub Alam confirmed the matter and said Shanta Akter, 22, confessed to the killing. She killed Anisa over a family feud. Police are now investigating the matter for more information.
