Attack on newspaper office in Habiganj, 5 injured

Habiganj Correspondent: At least five people including acting editor and news editor were injured as miscreants attacked the office of a local daily-Daily Lokaloy Barta- on Wednesday night.

Among the injured were Emdadul Haque Sohel (38), acting editor, and MR Shael (38), news editor.

Emdadul Haque Sohel has been admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital in critical condition.
 

According to locals, a group of miscreants attacked the newspaper office at around 11.00am over publishing a news item.

They also vandalized computers,   furniture and a private car.
