Auto-rickshaw driver stabbed dead in Kushtia

Kushtia Correspondent:  An auto-rickshaw driver was stabbed to death by miscreants in Bout area of Doulatpur upazila on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Bijoy, son Abdul Hakim at Munda village under Gangni upazila in Meherpur district.

Being informed by local people, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue.

Azam Khan, officer-in-charge of Doulatpur Police Station, said miscreants in guise of passengers hired the auto-rickshaw of the youth.

When the auto-rickshaw reached Shyampur-Moubaria road, the miscreants stabbed the driver to death and fled with his auto-rickshaw.

Police also one Rocky, 26 for his suspected involvement in the murder.
