Bank official killed in Khulna road crash

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: A bank official has been killed in a road accident at the city’s Nijkhamar area on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdus Samad, hailing from Keshabpur upazila in Jashore. He was an employee of Brac Bank Gopalganj branch.

Rateshwar Mondol, officer-in-charge (OC) of Labonchora police station, said Samad was killed on Khulna –Satkhira highway when a sand-laden truck hit a motorbike which he was riding to go to Gopalganj from Keshabpur upazila of Jashore district around 7:00 am.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, the body was sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
