Betel leaf trader killed in road accident

A betel leaf trader was killed as a bus hit his bicycle at Patkelghata in Satkhira district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdus Sattar Sheikh, 35, son of Shamsur Rahman at Raripara village under Tala upazila.

According to sources, a bus of Hanif Paribahan hit his bicycle in front of Kumira High School around 6.30am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Officer-in-charge of Patkelghata Thana Kazi Wahid Murshed confirmed the news.
