Body recovered from pond in Pabna

Police have recovered the body of a youth named Shariat Ullah, 32, from a pond in Shalgariyar area of Pabna town.

Being informed by locals, police recovered the body on Tuesday morning.

Shariat Ullah was an employee of Shanonda Jewelers in Pabna town. He was the son of late Safor Sheikh of the Sadar upazila.    

Pabna Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasim Ahmed told risingbd that the local people informed the police that someone fell into the pond at midnight. But, no one was found at night.  In the morning, a diver found the dead body.

The dead body has been sent to Pabna General Hospital for autopsy.

“No trace was found in his body. But, police are trying to find out the reason behind this incident” he added.
