Bus-covered van collision kills 2 in Gazipur

Two people were killed and at least ten others injured in a collision between a bus and a covered van in Gazipur on Saturday morning.

The accident took place on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Rajendrapur under Gazipur City Corporation around 11:00am.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

A bus of Ena paribahan bound for Mymensingh hit a covered van moving towards the same direction from behind in Rajendrapur area around 11:00am, leaving two people dead on the spot and ten others injured, said Alamgir Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station.

The injured were rushed to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, the OC said.
