Bus plunge kills 2 in Narayanganj

A passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Purinda area of Araihazar upazila on Dhaka-Sylhet highway, killing two persons and injuring 20 other passengers on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Nur-e-Alam, 30, son of late Tota Mia, hailed from Panchrukhi area of Araihazar and Shahidul Haque, 55, son of late Haydar Ali, hailed from Kaliganj of Jhenaidah.

Kanchpur Highway police station OC Mofazzar Hossain told risingbd, the plunched into the roadside ditch this evening, leaving two passengers dead and injured 20 others.

The bodies were sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy, he added.
