Bus-truck collision kills two in Kushtia

At least two people were killed and several other were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Kushtia-Ishurdi highway on Wednesday morning.

The accident took place around 7.30am in front of Talbaria Police Camp.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mirpur Thana Abul Kalam confirmed the news.    

The deceased were identified as Nabil Hossain, 38, the truck driver and son of Obaidur Rahman, at Dewali under Magura sadar upazila, and Ibrahim. 

According to locals, an Ishurdi-bound bus collided head-on with a truck, leaving two dead on the spot.

The injured were sent to hospital.
