Businessman killed in Gazipur, one held

A businessman was killed at Chandona Purbo Para area under Gazipur City Copration (GCC) on Sunday midnight.

The deceased was known as Arif Hossain, 25, son of Bachon Ali of the area. They hailed from the capital’s Keraniganj.

Police held youth named Yeasin, 26, over the incident. He is son of late Shajahan Khan of the area.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Ibrahim Khalil of GCC Bason Police Station confirmed the news.

He said, “Tendons and fingers of the deceased were found cut off. Marks of sharp weapon found on his back.
