CMP deputy commissioner Mizanur Rahman dies of Covid-19

Mizanur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) died of coronavirus or Covid-19 at a hospital in the capital early Monday (July 13).

He breathed his last at Central Police Hospital in Rajarbagh around 4am while undergoing treatment.

CMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (Public Relations) Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed his death.

Mizanur Rahman was admitted to the hospital on June 28 after has was diagnosed with coronavirus. Later, he was shifted to the ICU of the hospital as his condition deteriorated and he died early today, Abu Bakar Siddique said.

Basically, he got infected with the deadly virus while performing duties.
