Chandpur Police Super Md Mahbubur Rahman has tested positive for coronavirus or Covid-19.
Md Shakhawat Ullah, Civil Surgeon of Chandpur, confirmed the information to risingbd on Tuesday (June 30) noon.
Besides, seven more policemen of the district police lines have been diagnosed with coronavirus, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 60, he said.
Additional Police Super Md Asaduzzaman said the infected Police Super is now in self-isolation at his home from where he is taking treatment.
