Chattogram reports 148 new Covid-19 cases, one death

A total of 148 new coronavirus or Covid-19 patients have been detected in Chattogram in last 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the port city to 13,346.

Besides, one more patient died of the deadly virus over the same period, raising the total death toll to 226.

Of those newly infected, 116 were from Chattogram metropolitan area and the remaining 32 from different upazilas of Chattogram district.

Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, confirmed the information on Thursday (July 23) morning.

148 more people have been found infected with coronavirus or Covid-19 after carrying out sample tests of 1,048 people in Chattogram in last 24 hours, the civil surgeon said.
