Chattogram reports 179 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths

A total of 179 new coronavirus patients have beeb detected in Chattogram metropolitan area and Chattogram district in last 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the port city to 5,585.

Besides, three more patients died of the deadly virus (COVID-19) over the same period, taking the total number of deaths to 127.

As many as 1,500 patients have recovered so far in the port city.

Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, came up with the information on Wednesday (June 17) morning.
