Chattogram reports 445 new virus cases, 2 deaths

A total of 445 new coronavirus patients have been detected in Chattogram metropolitan area and Chattogram district in last 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the port city to 8,472.

Besides, two more patients died of the deadly virus (Covid-19) over the same period.

Of those newly infected, 324 were from Chattogram metropolitan area and the remaining 121 from different upazilas of Chattogram district.

Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, confirmed the information on Tuesday (June 30) morning.

445 more people have been found infected with coronavirus or Covid-19 after carrying out sample tests of 1,594 people at seven PCR labs in Chattogram in last 24 hours, the civil surgeon said.
