Child seriously injured as hungry dog attacks for bread

A child was seriously injured as a hungry dog made attack on her to snatch away a bread.
The incident took place at Dakshin Matha area in Razapur Bazar of Jhalakathi on Tuesday afternoon.
The injured was identified as Tanjila, 6, daughter of abandoned single mother Shahnaz Begum.
The ownerless dog torn off a piece of flesh from her cheek.
Her elder daughter Chameli also sustained injury while she went forward to save Tanjila.
The child’s mother Shahnaz Begum said the dog swooped on Tanjila when she went out eating the bread. The girl torn off flesh from her face.
She was rushed to Razapur Upazila Health Complex immediately. Doctor in emergency department gave her stiches the wound and suggested a medicine that will cost Tk 4200. It’s not possible for me to buy the medicine, she added.
