Clinic owner Amir Hossain Bablu killed in road accident

Amir Hossain Bablu, owner of Chatmohar Islamic Hospital who was absconding in a case, was crushed under a truck at Ishurdi town in Pabana on Sunday midnight.

A truck hit him in Babupara area of the town when he was going to the house of his father-in-law by rickshaw, leaving him dead on the spot.

According to sources, a mob beat up a doctor and his assistant at the “sealed-off” private clinic at Chatmohar upazila when they allegedly tried to flee from the operation theatre leaving a patient in critical condition.  But, owner of the clinic Amir Hossain Bablu, 55, managed to flee from the spot.

The patient Taslima Khatun, 35, wife of Ismail Hossain at Bothor of the upazila, died that night.
Taslima was admitted to the Chatmohar Islamic Hospital with labour pains. She was immediately taken to the operating table and the hospital surgeon Saddam Hossain performed a c-section to deliver a girl, said police.

But as the mother’s condition deteriorated, the doctor along with his assistant Asaduzzaman tried to flee from the operation theatre, the police said quoting the patient’s relatives.

Taslima was moved to Pabna Medical College Hospital where she died of excessive bleeding.
A case was filed against the people concerned including the clinic owner.
