College girl’s body recovered 3 days after going missing

Police have recovered the body of a college girl three days after she went missing from Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira on Friday.

The body was recovered from a crop field at Bollovpur area of the upazila at around 9 am.

The deceased was identified as Mariam Khatun, 21, daughter of Abul Kader of Patharghata village of Shyamnagar sadar upazila.

Abdul Kader, the deceased's father, said that Miriam went out of home three days ago but did not come back.  A General Diary was registered with Shyamnagar police station on January 9.

Confirming the matter to risingbd, Nazmul Huda, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shyamnagar Police station, said the body was sent to Satkhira Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
