College student killed in Satkhira road crash

A college student was killed and another was injured when two motorcycles collided head-on in Patkelghata upazila of Satkhira district on Tuesday morning.

The accident took place at Shakdah area in the upazila around 9:30am.

The deceased was identified as Dwipjoy Sadhu, 19, son of Prokash Sadhu of Toilkupi village under Tala upazila of the district. He was the 11^th grader of Patkelghata Harun or Rashid Degree college.

The injured is Abdul Wadud, a resident of Shakdah village.

Two motorcycles collided head-on at Shakdah intersection in Patkelghata upazila of the district in the morning, leaving Dwipjoy dead on the spot and Wadud injured, said Wahid Morshed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Patkelghata Police Station.

The body was sent to Satkhira Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
