Cop killed in Bagerhat road crash

A police officer was killed after a speedy truck rammed him on Bagerhat highway in the district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Rezaur Rahman, hailed from Ghashiyara village of Sreepur upazila in Magura.

Witnesses said, the police officer was heading towards home after his regular duty at court around 3:00pm. Meanwhile, a speedy truck hit his motorcycle, leaving him dead on the spot.

Bagerhat additional police super Md. Mahfuz Afzal told risingbd that the body was taken to Bagerhat sadar hospital.
