Coronavirus cases rise to 429 in Narsingdi

20 more people tested positive for coronavirus, taking the total number of cases to 429 in Narsingdi district.

Narsingdi Civil Surgeon Dr Ibrahim Titon confirmed the matter on Wednesday night.

He said samples of 109 people in the district were collected and later sent those to Dhaka for tests, out of which coronavirus has been detected in the samples of 20 people.

Among the new patients, 16 are in Narsingdi sadar upazila, three in Palash upazila and one in Shibpur upazila.

Doctors, engineers, government project officers, health directorate officials, journalists and children are among the infected people, said Civil Surgeon Dr Ibrahim Titon.
