Coronavirus cases rise to 834 in Habiganj

30 more coronavirus or Covid-19 cases have been detected in Habiganj, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 834.

Dr Mokhlesur Rahman Ujjal, deputy civil surgeon of the district, confirmed the information on Monday (July 6) night.

30 new people were found infected with coronavirus or Covid-19 after carrying out tests on samples which were sent to Dhaka from Habiganj on July 3 and 4, the civil surgeon said.

Of those newly infected, 21 were from Sadar upazila, one from Madhabpur upazila, six from Chunarughat upazila and two from Bahubal upazila, he said.

A total of six people have died and 317 recovered from the deadly virus so far in the district, he added.
