Covid-19 cases cross 10000 mark in Chattogram

Coronavirus or Covid-19 cases in Chattogram have surpassed 10,000 mark with 292 new cases reported in last 24 hours.

Six more people have died from the deadly virus in Chattogram metropolitan area and Chattogram district in last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the port city to 195.

Besides, a total of 292 new coronavirus patients have been detected in Chattogram over the same period, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the port city to 10,180.

Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, confirmed the information to risingbd on Monday (July 6) morning.

292 more people have been found infected with coronavirus or Covid-19 after carrying out sample tests of 1,318 people at six public and private labs in Chattogram in last 24 hours, the civil surgeon said.

As many as 21 patients have made recoveries in last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to over 5,000 in the district, he added.
