‘Cow thief’ lynched in Kishoreganj

A youth, suspected of being a cow thief, was beaten to death by a mob at Katiadiupazila of Kishoreganj district early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Rasel, 25, son of RiazUddin at Jalipara village under Chouddashato union in Kishoreganj district.

According to sources, a gang of thieves went to the house of MofizNaeb at BanogramParchimpara at night. The farmer shouted for help after noticing the thieves.

Villagers rushed there and caught three of the thieves. They beat the suspected thieves indiscriminately, leaving one dead one spot.

Later, the locals handed suspected two thieves to police.

Officer-in-Charge of Katiadi Model Thana MA Jalil confirmed the matter.
