Cumilla reports 132 new coronavirus cases

132 new coronavirus patients have been detected in Cumilla in last 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 1,846.

Dr Niatuzzaman, civil surgeon of the district, came up with the information on Sunday (June 14) morning.

Of those newly infected, 42 were from Cumilla city corporation area, 22 from Laksam upazila, eight from Chouddagram upazila, four from Burichang upazila, six from Adarsha Sadar upazila, one from Chandina upazila, 16 from Debidwar upazila, two from Titas upazila, eight from Daudkandi upazila, one from Meghna upazila, six from Homna upazila, seven from Brahmanpara upazila and nine from Barura upazila, the civil surgeon said.

Of those infected originally, a total of 50 coronavirus patients have died and 324 recovered so far in the district, he added.
