Dead body recovered in city

Staff Correspondent, DHAKA, Dec 20: Police recovered a dead body from Mohammadpur area in city on Thursday night at 12:00am.
 
The deceased was identified as Taufiqul islam Imon.
 
Lutfur Rahman, the deceased’s uncle, claimed him to be an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Police. But he could not confirm in which police station Imon was posted as ASI.
 
However, Police also could not confirm his official identity.

“Police found him hanging with a ceiling fan. His body was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy,” Nazrul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Mohammadpur Thana, said.

“We are not sure whether it is a suicidal or killing incident,” theSI added.
