Doctor beaten to death in Khulna, 5 held

Five persons including main accused Jamir have been arrested in connection with the death of Dr Md Abdur Rokib Khan. Family members of a patient allegedly beat the doctor to death in Khulna city.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khulna Sadar Thana Aslam Bahar Bulbul confirmed this.  

They were arrested in separate drives in different places of the city on Thursday morning.

On Tuesday, family members of the patient allegedly beat Dr Rokib, who was the owner of Raisa Clinic in the city's Gollamari area, leaving him seriously injured.

He was immediately taken to Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialised Hospital where he died.

Dr Rokib’s family filed a case with Khulna Sadar Thana.
