He was closed to Police Lines of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) on Sunday noon.

Alongside, Ashraful Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the city’s Harintana Police Station, has been appointed as OC to the sadar police station.

KMP spokesperson deputy commissioner Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithu confirmed the news.

Earlier on June 18, doctors in Khulna gave a 72-hr ultimatum to authorities concerned demanding withdrawal of Sadar Police Station's officer-in-charge and arrest of all responsible for the death of Dr Abdur Rakib Khan.

The doctors demanded withdrawal of OC Aslam Bahar Bulbul because he delayed the recording of the murder case.
