Ex-UP Chairman dies with Coronavirus symptoms

A former Union Parishad Chairman has died with the novel coronavirus like symptoms while undergoing treatment in Khulna.

The deceased was known as Khan Bazlur Rahman, 60. He was former union parishad chairman of Noihati union of Rupsha upazila in the district.

Confirming the matter, Khulna Medical College Hospital’s RMO Doctor Mizanur Rahman said, the person got admitted to the hospital’s isolation ward at 8:30am with the novel coronavirus like symptoms on Wednesday (June 17). Later, he died around 10:00am.

A total of 46 persons have been died with the novel coronavirus like symptoms in Khulna.
