Ex-UP Chairman held with pistol in Sirajganj

Sirajganj Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a former Upazila Chairman with a pistol from Satbaria Bazar of Shahjadpur Upazila of the district early Monday.
The detainee is- Rezaul Karim Robin 37, son of late Abdus Salam.
In a press release, RAB-12 Sirajganj Camp Commander Major Safayat Ahmed Sumon confirmed the matter around 11:00am.
He said that Rezaul Karim was involved with arms selling the district. Later, acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers detained him from the area.
A case was filed with Shahjadpur police station in this regard, he added.
