A former Union Parishad chairman was found shot dead after abduction at Haludia Para in Rajasthali upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Dipomoy Talukdar, a former chairman of Haludia Union Parishad. He was also a vice-president of BNP’s upazila unit.
Mafzal Ahmed Khan, officer-in-charge of Rajasthali Police Station, said armed criminals kidnapped Dipomoy from Haludia Para when he was returning home on Tuesday afternoon.
He was later shot dead. Locals found Dipomoy’s body on Wednesday morning.
