Ex-footballer among 6 infected with Covid-19 in Kaptai

Six more people including former player of Bangladesh National Football Team Biplob Marma have been diagnosed with coronavirus or Covid-19 in Kaptai upazila of Rangamati district.
Dr Omar Faruk Rony, focal person regarding the corona issue of Kaptai health department, confirmed the matter on Thursday (July 2) morning.
Six new people including former chairman of Chandraghona union parishad and former player of Bangladesh National Football Team Biplob Marma and his wife have been infected with coronavirus, said Dr Omar Faruk Rony.
Two police members were also among those infected, he said.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaptai Police Station Nasir Uddin said the coronavirus-infected cops are receiving treatment being in isolation in a police outpost.
With the new cases, the total number of confirmed virus cases reached 74 in the upazila while 27 patients have recovered so far, according to Kaptai upazila health department.
