Father, son burnt in Pabna cylinder blast die at DMCH

A man and his son, who were severely burnt in a cylinder explosion in Bera upazila of Pabna, died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday (April 20).

The deceased were identified as Abu Sheikh, 45, and his son Kalam Sheikh, 34. Both of them were the residents of Bera upazila.

Shahid Mahmud, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bera Police Station, said six people were burnt as a cylinder exploded in a house in Shekhpara area of the upazila on Thursday (April 16).

The injured were taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, he said.

Later, the two were shifted to DMCH as their condition deteriorated, the OC said.
